Shanti English Medium School was established in the year 1997 and Shanti Junior College of Science was established in the year 2008 at New Santosh Nagar, Bijapur Road, Solapur. The institution is affiliated to the Board of Secondary and higher secondary education, Pune.
The institution follow the Maharashtra State Board Syllabus. The medium of instruction is English. It is a permanently unaided Kannada Linguistic minority institution managed by the Shanti Education trust registered under the Society’s registration act of India 1860. The institution impart education for students from nursery to 12th standard. The institution is staffed by highly qualified competent, experienced and dedicated teachers. Moral and value education forms an integral part of curriculum. Co-curricular activities are encouraged to develop all round personality. All efforts are made to expose the students to innovative and progressive trends in modern education. The institution is co-educational and the present strength is 2000 from Nursery to std XII. The institution has 70 class rooms, admin office, laboratories well equipped library, math lab, linguistic labs and Computer labs. The multipurpose auditorium provides space for seating of 200. The institution has s spacious playground for all games with well laid courts for Volley Ball, Throw Ball, Basket Ball,Foot Ball,Hand Ball, and Cricket. A special area is reserved for the nursery kids. House system have been a permanent feature. Under this system Inter house competitions debating, quiz, essay writing, short story writing, music, painting, elocution, extempore, dance, drawing, reading & writing, handicraft, and singing are conducted. Inter House games competitions are held, the students are encouraged and provided with opportunities to participate in inter school competitions.
