A spacious playground is provided for all games, with well-laid courts for volleyball, throwball, basketball, football, handball, and cricket. A special area is reserved for nursery kids. Physical education, work experience, drawing, painting, music, dance, yoga, scouts, and guides form integral parts of the curriculum to help children develop leadership qualities and balanced personalities.
The house system is a permanent feature of the institution. Under this system, inter-house competitions in debating, quiz, essay writing, short story writing, music, painting, elocution, extempore, dance, drawing, reading & writing, handicrafts, and singing are conducted. The institution provides the best possible opportunities for the all-round development of children. A unique feature is that the entire teaching staff is women, following Jawaharlal Nehru’s saying: “Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow.”
